Ecology and Bat Surveys
Support for Ecological Consultancies
Our Principal Ecologist has nearly 20 years' experience in the industry, in addition to working for local authorities. With our expert knowledge of both ecology and the planning decision making process, we provide clear, pragmatic solutions for your project, from preliminary surveys through to mitigation and meeting planning conditions.
Covering sites across Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire, we usually start with a Preliminary Ecological Appraisal. From there, we recommend mitigation, ecological enhancements, and occasionally we conduct further in-depth surveys for protected species, this may include the following:
-
Badgers
-
Bats
-
Breeding birds
-
Dormice
-
Great crested newts
-
Common and rare reptiles
-
Otters
-
Water voles
If you are an ecological consultancy, developer or homeowner in need of a Bat Mitigation Class Licences (BMCL), please get in touch. We work with Natural England on site registrations on a weekly basis during the survey and mitigation seasons and have a good working relationship with the Low Impact team.

We also hold Natural England survey class licences for dormice, great crested newts and rare reptiles.
Costs vary depending on your location, size of project, and the type of survey. But we are happy to give you a free quote and advice to get your project started today.
